Data Protection & Privacy Policy

 

1. Introduction

Bluebelle is committed to a policy of protecting the rights and privacy of individuals. It needs to collect and use certain types of Data in order to support its clients. This personal information must be collected and handled securely. The Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) govern the use of information about people (personal data).

 

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable person ie: name, address, email address, photograph, telephone numbers. It can held on computers, laptops and mobile devices, or in a manual file, and includes email, notes from sessions, and photographs.

 

2. GDPR Regulatory Body

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. It is the UK’s regulator for information rights and protects the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individual.  

 

3. Lawful basis for processing personal data

There are six lawful bases for processing personal data:

The same applies to paper files.Agree not to share any data with a third party unless safeguarding or specific consent has been given.Agree to confidentially destroy any data no longer required.Ensure the accident book is checked and any page completed to be torn out, appropriately actioned and then filed securely.Ensure postal correspondence where applicable is sent direct to Bluebelle.Archived documents such as reports, programmes, workbooks etc to be kept securely in a locked filing cabinet.
